Privacy notice

Who we are

QuickFleet Logistics Limited is a delivery company based in Abuja, Nigeria. In this notice, “QuickFleet”, “we” and “us” mean that company. We decide how the details you give us on this website are used, which makes us the data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

We have not opened for deliveries yet. For now this website does two things. It tells you about us, and it lets you join our waitlist or send us a message. This notice covers that and nothing more.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist. Your email address, the page you joined from, and the date and time.

When you send us a message. Your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, what the message is about, the message itself, the page you sent it from, and the date and time.

When you visit. We count visits to the site. The count shows which pages are opened, the country a visit comes from, and the kind of device and browser used. It does not use cookies, and it does not tell us who you are.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not follow you around other websites. We do not ask for payment details here. Please do not put bank, health or other sensitive details in a message to us.

Why we use it

• The waitlist. To tell you when we open, and to send you news about QuickFleet before then, about one email a month. We do this because you asked us to by joining.
• Messages. To read what you sent and reply to it. We do this because you ticked the box agreeing to it.
• Visit counts. To see which pages are useful and to keep the site working well. It helps us run the site, and it does not identify you.

We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to advertisers. We do not use them to make automated decisions about you.

Who handles it for us

We do not give your details to other companies for their own use. Two service providers handle them on our behalf.

• Google. The waitlist and the contact form save into a spreadsheet in our Google account, which also emails us when a new one arrives.
• Vercel. Vercel hosts this website and provides the visit counts.

Both run servers outside Nigeria, so your details may be stored abroad. We send them only what they need to do the job. By joining the waitlist or sending us a message, you agree to your details being stored this way.

We may also have to share information if a Nigerian law or a court order requires it.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist emails. Until you ask us to remove you, or until 12 months after we open in Abuja, whichever comes first.
• Messages. For up to 12 months after our last reply to you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
• Visit counts. These are totals, not personal records, and we keep them for as long as they are useful.

Only the members of our team who need the waitlist and the messages can open them. The website is served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn that your details have been exposed, we will tell you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, as the law requires.

Your rights

The Nigeria Data Protection Act gives you the right to:

• ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it
• have a mistake corrected
• have your details deleted
• withdraw your agreement at any time, which takes you off the waitlist
• object to how we are using your details, or ask us to pause
• receive your details in a form you can take elsewhere

To do any of these, write to us from the email address you used on this site. It costs nothing, and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.

Children

This website is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

When we open for deliveries

Booking a delivery will involve more information than this website collects today, such as pickup and drop-off addresses, the receiver’s phone number and payment records. We will publish a fuller notice before the first booking is taken.

If we change this notice before then, we will change the date at the top of this page.
